| Second Day
Priest: “Blessed are you, daughter, by the Most High God, above all the women on earth; and blessed be the Lord God, the creator of heaven and earth.” (Judith 13:18) O revered Curé of Ars, as a child you were seen building a shrine to the Blessed Mother. You dedicated your life to her, entrusting your priesthood to her care. You begged the pilgrims that flocked to your doorstep to pray the rosary to honor Mary, our Mother. You told them and us of your great love of our Lady by saying: “We have only to turn to the Blessed Mother to be heard. Her heart is all love”. O Saint John Vianney, you had to struggle against many barriers to become the esteemed Priest that you were. Help us in our struggles to pattern our lives after that of our heavenly Mother, to be full of love for God and for our neighbor. Inspire priests, religious and seminarians to consecrate their lives to their Mother in heaven. May priests throughout the world never desert Christ, but remain, as Mary did, at the foot of the cross. together we pray the Novena Prayer — O holy Curé of Ars, St. John Vianney, here on earth you loved God and faithfully served Him by serving His people as their Priest. Daily you prayed for your people, you did penance on their behalf, you preached the Gospel by word and example. Ask God on our behalf to send workers into His vineyard, and especially to raise up among us a new generation of ardent and faithful Priests to feed us with the Bread of Life and strengthen us by the forgiveness of our sins. Remember the vulnerabilities, fears, and anxieties that surround us and intercede for us in all our needs, especially….(here mention your own personal request). O Priest of Ars, pray for us in a special way during this novena, we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen

Segundo día
Sacerdote: «Bendita seas, hija, por el Dios Altísimo, más que todas las mujeres de la tierra; y bendito sea el Señor Dios, creador del cielo y de la tierra». (Judit 13, 18) Oh venerado Cura de Ars, de niño se te veía construyendo un santuario a la Santísima Madre. Le dedicaste tu vida, encomendando tu sacerdocio a su cuidado. Rogabas a los peregrinos que acudían a tu puerta que rezaran el rosario para honrar a María, nuestra Madre. A ellos y a nosotros nos expresabas tu gran amor por Nuestra Señora diciendo: «No tenemos más que dirigirnos a la Santísima Madre para ser escuchados. Su corazón es todo amor». Oh San Juan Vianney, tuviste que luchar contra muchos obstáculos para llegar a ser el estimado sacerdote que fuiste. Ayúdanos en nuestras luchas para modelar nuestras vidas según la de nuestra Madre celestial, y para estar llenos de amor hacia Dios y hacia el prójimo. Inspira a los sacerdotes, religiosos y seminaristas a consagrar sus vidas a su Madre del cielo. Que los sacerdotes de todo el mundo nunca abandonen a Cristo, sino que permanezcan, como lo hizo María, al pie de la cruz. Rezamos juntos la oración de la novena: Oh santo Cura de Ars, San Juan Vianney: aquí en la tierra amaste a Dios y le serviste fielmente sirviendo a su pueblo como sacerdote. Rezabas diariamente por tu gente, hacías penitencia en su nombre y predicabas el Evangelio con la palabra y el ejemplo. Pide a Dios, por nosotros, que envíe obreros a su viña y que, especialmente, suscite entre nosotros una nueva generación de sacerdotes fervorosos y fieles que nos alimenten con el Pan de Vida y nos fortalezcan mediante el perdón de nuestros pecados. Ten presentes las vulnerabilidades, los temores y las ansiedades que nos rodean e intercede por nosotros en todas nuestras necesidades, especialmente… (menciona aquí tu petición personal). Oh sacerdote de Ars, ruega por nosotros de manera especial durante esta novena; te lo pedimos por Cristo nuestro Señor. Amén.
