| Fourth Day
Priest: “What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?” (Matthew 16:26) O revered Curé of Ars, you taught men to pray daily: “O my God, come to me, so that You may dwell in me and I may dwell in You”. You were the embodiment of this prayer. You gave your pilgrims hope by your words of prayer which were full of love of God. Your zeal for the salvation of souls was manifested by your total self-surrender to God expressed in your constant service to others. Help us to love God by being of service to our neighbor, whom-ever that may be. O Saint John Vianney, teach me to pray that God will come and dwell in me if only I ask Him into my heart. I know that the salvation of my soul is the fulfillment of my existence. Help me to bring others to the love of God. Let your prayer be mine: “If I really love God, I will greatly desire to see Him loved by all the world”. together we pray the Novena Prayer — O holy Curé of Ars, St. John Vianney, here on earth you loved God and faithfully served Him by serving His people as their Priest. Daily you prayed for your people, you did penance on their behalf, you preached the Gospel by word and example. Ask God on our behalf to send workers into His vineyard, and especially to raise up among us a new generation of ardent and faithful Priests to feed us with the Bread of Life and strengthen us by the forgiveness of our sins. Remember the vulnerabilities, fears, and anxieties that surround us and intercede for us in all our needs, especially….(here mention your own personal request). O Priest of Ars, pray for us in a special way during this novena, we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Cuarto día
Sacerdote: «¿De qué le sirve al hombre ganar el mundo entero si pierde su vida?» (Mateo 16:26) Oh venerado Cura de Ars, enseñaste a los hombres a orar diariamente: «Oh Dios mío, ven a mí, para que habites en mí y yo en ti». Fuiste la personificación de esta oración. Infundiste esperanza a tus peregrinos con tus palabras de oración, llenas de amor a Dios. Tu celo por la salvación de las almas se manifestó en tu total entrega a Dios, expresada en tu constante servicio a los demás. Ayúdanos a amar a Dios sirviendo a nuestro prójimo, sea quien sea.
Oh San Juan Vianney, enséñame a orar para que Dios venga y habite en mí si tan solo se lo pido en mi corazón. Sé que la salvación de mi alma es la plenitud de mi existencia. Ayúdame a llevar a otros al amor de Dios. Que tu oración sea la mía: «Si de verdad amo a Dios, desearé fervientemente verlo amado por todo el mundo». Juntos rezamos la Novena: Oh santo Cura de Ars, San Juan Vianney, aquí en la tierra amaste a Dios y le serviste fielmente como sacerdote de su pueblo. Diariamente orabas por tu pueblo, hacías penitencia por ellos y predicabas el Evangelio con la palabra y el ejemplo. Pide a Dios, por nosotros, que envíe obreros a su viña, y especialmente que suscite entre nosotros una nueva generación de sacerdotes fervientes y fieles que nos alimenten con el Pan de Vida y nos fortalezcan con el perdón de nuestros pecados. Recuerda las vulnerabilidades, los temores y las ansiedades que nos rodean e intercede por nosotros en todas nuestras necesidades, especialmente… (menciona aquí tu petición personal). Oh Sacerdote de Ars, ruega por nosotros de manera especial durante esta novena, te lo pedimos por Cristo nuestro Señor. Amén.
