Lectors are trained by attending a workshop coordinated by the Diocese of Brooklyn.  (Please call the Rectory for details on registering for a workshop at 718-326-2185/2236).

Parishioners who have been trained and commissioned as Lectors proclaim the Word of God, at both worship sites, at all weekday and Sunday Masses,  Easter Triduum services as well as other services that may be celebrated throughout the year. Spanish speaking Lectors also participate at the 12:30pm Sunday Mass at St. Stanislaus by proclaiming the readings and the petitions in Spanish as well as other services throughout the year that are celebrated in Spanish.
